And oh, yeah, every now and then people who aren't even related to Oberon enter into the story....

Amber

James Spader is Jonathan

Ever met one of those guys who's so nerdy that it would never even occur to him to flirt with you, and that kind of makes you want to flirt with him just to see if he'd notice? That'd be Jonathan, Castle Amber's resident medical expert. I try to avoid spending time in the infirmary -- but still, you gotta appreciate a guy who gets excited when you ask him to reconstitute the blood of your enemies....

Rebma

Uma Thurman is Moire

Overbearing, oversexed, overprotective: meet Martin's grandmother, Queen Moire of Rebma. I'm not exactly on her good side. Of course, I don't exactly care....

At least she's not quite as bad as her sister....

Thelbane

Colleen Haskell is Dara

Dara claims to be an earnest little peacenik who wants Thelbane to stop making war on Amber. She brought us evidence of Oberon's imprisonment and probable demise.

She also twisted Corwin right around her little finger without him even noticing. Men are so stupid.

Do I trust her?

Don't be stupid.

Tonga

Tia Carrere is Aloo

And then there are the Tongans. Queen Aloo has had to deal with her husband's brutal murder during Corwin's coronation festivities, the accidental loss of his body on the voyage back to Tonga because we got sucked into a giant space-squid and had our ship blown up, and the near-maiming of her son when Brand crashed his coronation. No wonder she's been keeping to herself....

Moneca Delain is Reiki

Aloo's daughter, Princess Reiki, tried to hit on both Hargomme and Gareth at Corwin's Coronation Dinner. Not only did she use the same pick-up line on both of them -- in front of both of them, no less -- it was perhaps the lamest pick-up line I've ever heard:

"Do you like the salad? I picked the fruit myself."

I guess I shouldn't be too hard on her, though, what with her father getting brutally butchered by Brand, and all. Plus, her hitting on Hargomme means he's now really pissed off... at Flora.

(Yep, guess who was in charge of the seating chart?)

Bliss

Sean Connery is Aidan

The first of our "hosts" on Bliss, Aidan seems an okay sort.

Gabriel Byrne is Halas

Younger than Aidan, Halas was ready to tell us everything we needed to know from the moment we arrived. Obviously, living away from Thelbane all these years has completely erased his sense of paranoia.

Ian McKellen is Onan

Onan, on the other hand, is a grumpy old man.
